Chemical Theory, Discovery, and Spontaneity
Chemical Theory, Discovery, and SpontaneityChemists define spontaneity as 'the state in which substances are derived spontaneously from organic or inorganic sources.' When it comes to the definition of spontaneity, and why it is good to get it from nature rather than man-made chemicals, then it really boils down to this. Chemistry is essentially a process of organizing and synthesizing atoms by the natural processes of natural selection and genetic impulses. It does not consider the definition of spontaneity if one has no connection to nature, or the origin of the atom.Spontaneity refers to the outcome of the initial condition of an arrangement of atoms. It is the free, natural choice of atoms to arrange themselves according to their natural design in the forming of organic compounds and their subsequent release into the surrounding environment. When you look at some of the very best organic compounds ever made it is obvious that they did not come about spontaneously. The ultimate re sult, after many generations of laboratory work and many years of basic research has resulted in what we now know as refined fuel from natural gas, acetylene from coal tar, and copper from copper sulfate.Spontaneity can be considered an inherent property of living things and this property must be balanced with the preservation of life. In essence, chemists define spontaneity in order to serve a dual purpose - the conservation of life and the maintenance of chemical equilibrium.Spontaneity allows us to live in harmony with nature. Nature, on the other hand, recognizes the conservation of nature in order to maintain the balance between life and chemical equilibrium. And this is very important, because in this balance nature has built the elements that we rely upon in life; not only food but clothing, shelter, language, art, and music. You see, it is pretty interesting to discover the natural order of events that led to the formation of our world, a place where we can live in harmony wi th the natural world and its elements; thus in spite of the presence of man it can still coexist and function in the natural world without interference. And this is exactly what the 'spontaneous' reaction of the elements, metals, and molecules tells us all we need to know.Science, including chemistry, has often been referred to as the study of the nature of things and of the things' interrelationships. It has sought to answer questions such as 'how do matter and energy come together in chemistry?' and 'what happens when electrons and protons become separated in atoms?Discovery of the spontaneous chemical reaction allowed the discovery of atomic theory and eventually of the concepts of evolution and time. Both of these discoveries were made with the aid of the scientific process and the synthesis of spontaneous reactions. A key role in the scientific revolution was played by Henry Cavendish. The spontaneous reaction was important in his discovery of the earth's magnetic field.

There, their and theyre Is there a way to tell the difference in English
There, their and theyâre Is there a way to tell the difference in English Los Angeles based graphic designer, Florencio Zavala, has developed a t-shirt for Fruit of the Loom that makes a relevant point for students of the English language. There, their and theyâre, can we actually tell the difference between them?Mr. Zavalas Theyre, Their, There T-shirt.Knowing when to use there, their and theyâre can be confusing for students learning to write the English language. These words are called homophones or homonyms meaning they sound the same although they each have a different meaning. If you are struggling with these words, donât worry, even native speakers have trouble with homonyms too. Lets look at some simple rules to make things easier.THEREThe first thing to remember is that there is the most versatile of the three words There can be used to refer to a place.Look! Mary is over there. We went there for the summer holidays. There can also be used to denote the existence of something or a demonstrative pronounThere is a child sitting on the chair. The re is a church in my hometown. There can be used as an interjection(I am right) SO THERE! (In some dialects) There can also be used as an adjectiveThat man there has a blue shirt. There can also be used as an adverb (of place, showing location or direction). The class will take place there. I will see you there.THEIRTheir is a possessive pronoun. It replaces âthey,â another pronoun indicating a group of people, to show ownership.(John and Davidâs) cars are in the driveway = Their cars are in the driveway.(Mary and Susanâs) shoes are at the door = Their shoes are at the door.THEYâRETheyâre is more straightforward. It is a contraction of they are, referring to the plural form (they) of he or she.Theyâre going to Paris for the holidays = They are going to Paris for the holidays.I see theyâre at Susanâs house for the weekend = I see they are at Susanâs house for the weekend.Theyâre is normally used in spoken rather than written English. Here is a short paragraph with some examples of the use of there, their and theyâre. There is one mistake. See if you can spot it.(1)Theyâre going to Paris for the holidays. It has been (2) their dream for years to climb to the top of the Eiffel Tower. While, (3) theyâre (4) there, they will also walk the Left Bank, and drink hot chocolate in cafes. He said (5) theyâ re expecting good weather (6) there and that they will be taking their (7) sunblock with them.(8) Theyâre also going to have to bring lots of euro with them because now itâs quite expensive (9) their. John is so excited about (10) their trip he can hardly contain himself. Unfortunately, his twin sons, David and Mark, will not be able to go because (11) theyâre busy with their end of end of year exams. Iâm sure John will call them once he gets (12) there though. So, how did you get on? Have you guessed the incorrect one? Itâs number (9). It should read there. If you got that right go ahead and put on your t-shirt! Now you know the po int you are making when you wear it.Got questions? Nerves of steel
Nerves of steel This week, we continue our revision tips and tricks series with a look at how to control something that can potentially ruin all of your good work - exam nerves! If you've ever seen X Factor, you'll know that even the most talented of performers can let nerves overtake their auditions. When the pressure is on and the whole world is watching, it's understandable that nerves can get to people that much - but too many nerves can get in the way of a performance. Consider your own exam nerves. True, exams don't involve standing in front of thousands of people on live TV, but they are still understandably nerve-wracking. You feel as though this is your one chance to improve your future and that you need to get high grades. No wonder you feel nervous. A few nerves on the day of your GCSE or A-level exams are fine and natural. However, you don't want too many nerves on the day as they will block your ability to think. Here are some tips to help you calm down as your exams approach: Practise exam questions to time so that you get used to working quickly without getting flustered. Eat regular, healthy meals and drink lots of water. If you can avoid caffeine, then do, as it will only increase your jitters. Identify the subjects or topics that make you feel the most nervous. Devote more time to these in your revision. If you really are feeling nervous and unable to cope, talk to a parent, guardian or teacher. You don't need to suffer alone.
After School Hours - ALOHA Mind Math
After School Hours Watching TV, Playing on the computer and video games are the most common after school activities of kids this generation. There surely is nothing wrong doing these activities but they should be done in moderation. I am sure you agree with me here, donât you? Most parents who work want to see after school time as a holding place for their children. Kids today see after school time as fun time, play time or simply hang out time. But how many parents actually are taking that seriously and actually putting some thought to how their kids should spend their time resourcefully after school? Research today clearly shows that kids benefit greatly from participating in after-school activities. In a 2008 study, research found that the 17 percent of kids who didnt participate in activities were more withdrawn and socially immature and had lower self-esteem in comparison to their more busy peers. Few thoughts to what actually after school activities should serve as: · Physical activity · Development of socialization · Peer relationship skills, · Promote learning · Homework, and so on How should parents go about this? Make afterschool activities useful by first assessing the childâs needs. Do what you can, given your time, money, and availability of programs. Evaluate every three months to see whether you are achieving your goals. Once you have decided on activities that achieve most of the above goals another important point to keep in mind is that Physical safety and activity appropriateness are paramount for your child. I think we could use this as forum to address any concerns regarding after school activities and get help from other readers. At the same time if you would like to share your experience about development of children who are already part of after school activities the space is yours go ahead and let us know your story.
An Organic Chemistry Tutor is a Good Idea For Your Students
An Organic Chemistry Tutor is a Good Idea For Your StudentsWhy have I chosen to use an organic chemistry tutor? I have previously had students with disabilities. My own mother had Alzheimer's and I discovered how difficult it was for her to remember things. So, as a school teacher I wanted to help to alleviate the learning load of students. You may think I am being an unkind teacher but what I mean is that I discovered that I needed to work harder than I previously did. I also realised that I needed to work smarter. As such, I decided to try to work out how to benefit my students. I wondered if there were ways that they could learn better. There are so many online resources available these days that will improve your students' education, they have no need to go to class. So, after looking around for an organic chemistry tutor I found I could do much better by using an online solution. This has allowed me to devote more time to the actual teaching of the subject, this has improved the r etention of information and has enabled me to concentrate on my students' progress. In Organic Chemistry the subject deals with the study of the chemical element and its compounds. One of the areas that students need the most help with is the understanding of the elements.Knowing what an element is, knowing how it works and the best way to deal with it in a laboratory are three very different things. As such, using a chemistry tutor is a great way to make sure that you can provide the best guidance and support for your students. The professional guidance will ensure that you provide the best learning experience for your students. It is my sincere hope that you will give organic chemistry a go for your students. In conclusion, Organic Chemistry can be quite challenging. This is why it is vital that you have the best possible support system in place. Working with an organic chemistry tutor is not a cheap proposition either, it may cost you a small fortune in the beginning. However, you will save so much more money than you would on your own tuition fees if you can find a good organic chemistry tutor who can help you every step of the way.The best part of working with an organic chemistry tutor is that it takes away the burden of your own research and with the ability to create powerful guides.
